IP8100-2 Description
Vonage IP8100-2 is an integrated telephone that enables you to take advantage of Vonage VoIP service without sacrificing the user friendliness and comfort of the traditional telephone. Bundled with two cordless expansion handsets, it features handset speakerphone, 2-way paging, built-in data ports, and all the telephone features and quality expected on Vonage telephones. The Vonage IP8100-2 requires Vonage service to operate and is not compatible with any other service.

The Vonage IP-8100-2 cordless phone broadband system was first announced at this past January's CES 2005. It uses the 5.8GHz band and is based on Texas Instruments' TNETV1060 VoIP chipset.

It connects via Ethernet to a LAN, router or broadband modem, comes with two handsets and can be expanded to four. Other features include hands-free handset speakerphone, 50 name/number phonebook and 10 ringer melodies.

The phone system has be available since July 24 and will retail for $149.99. A promotional $50 mail in rebate after sixty days of service will initially bring the price down to under $100. The retail price for additional handsets is $49.99 each.

Pros.
Excellent volume, long battery life, caller ID & illuminated keypad.
Cons.
Documentation could be better, phone menu took work to figure out, Vonage Only.
The Bottom Line.
If you like Vonage service & are in need of a new cordless phone. You won't be disappointed.

Why? Because they blocked this site without proper reason and after about one year of negotiation still have not given a proper reason nor proper instructions of how to fix any problems
